AWKWARD

September 19: 14/164=7/82
Oh man, it's a Friday. I love Fridays.
So, let's see. I stayed up far too late on Thursday night and it was hard to get up. But after a nice long shower and a yummy breakfast, I had the wonderful experience of the Day 1 blues. Just kidding, since I had free senior project block first. I worked on APES homework (yay for productivity!). And then I had AP Chem and we got back our first real test. And I did... okay. And apparently okay was the best grade in the class. Which led to arguments that matched the merits of last years complaints in AP Bio with an added Brit. But anyways, after that we started organic chem, which is way cooler than when we did it in AP Bio (mostly because I was totally lost in AP Bio). So then was break and humanities (sheinfeld and mrs. O'Toole talking to us about ancient Greek music and architecture... woohoo? Actually it was. One kid asked if all the penises had fallen off in Greek sculptures and Sheinfeld talked about how it was there. Awkward to the max). And then gym (freaking awkward). Okay, so I'm taking sophomore/junior gym/health (BACKSLASH MANIA), so I know almost no one in there. So we were playing medic ball and this sophomore guy kept pointing and then chucking the ball at me. And then screaming at me that he was going to get me out. It was... scary. And superbly awkward. So then we had APES and we did a lab about specific heat capacity.
So then I went home and crashed and slept for 5 hours, woke up long enough to practice and then went to bed.
September 20:
So I got up around 10 and ate and homeworked, etc, until 2, when I left for YPO. YPO... was bizarre. I talked to Sangwon for a bit and then actually went to rehearsal. So one member of our bassoon section quit between last week and this week, so we got a college kid who's named Colin. And I don't like him. He's not THAT good (Cecile could take him, and I mean in a fight), but they've put him on first. And moved the Walnut Hill girl's seatings (though not mine). That is what I hate about NEC.
So then I got home and did homework and made my MyMIT account. Yes Marissa, the dark side. And then I did most of my part I app. I'm finishing it tomorrow. Ohhh college apps. And I need to set up my interview. It's going to be a fun 40 days coming up...

1) I love organic chem.

2) I used to have the Brit in my chem class. He was quite useful when it came to eloquent outrage.

3) I'm in Pasadena :)

Also, MIT isn't the dark side. It's the stupid, uninformed side. But I'm not biased or anything.

The New Yorker is much better than the bio-er at shutting him up. But much worse at shutting me up. So we're now about equal.

chem....yes, the subject i actually managed to pass with flying colours and then not taking the AP class. TEHEEHEE.
aww. gym was always awkward last year - there were about ten sophmores and the rest were hormone-high senior boys. --roll eyes--
